As a Patient Services Representative , you will handle all correspondence related to an insurance or patient account, contacting insurance carriers, patients and other facilities as needed to get maximum payment on accounts and identify issues or changes to achieve client profitability

This position is full-time (40 hours/week) Monday - Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 7:30am - 4:00pm EST. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Research and resolve accounts appearing on Delinquent Insurance Report, Collection Ledger and Government Payor report as directed by management, making appropriate decisions on accounts to be worked to maximize reimbursement
• Work EDI transactions and ERA files, including reconciling carrier submissions, edits and rejection reports
• Follow up on outstanding A/R all payers and/or including self pay and/or including resolution of denials.
• Meet productivity standards as outlined in client metrics
• Identify any issues or trends and bring them to the attention of management team
• Train others and Q/A work of others as assigned
• Work on special projects as assigned

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma / GED (or higher)
• 5+ years work experience and leadership skills.
• 3+ years of Healthcare insurance billing
• Knowledge of the A/R Process
• Ability to work 7:30am to 4:00pm EST

Telecommuting Requirements:

• Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy
• Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
• Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service
